However, the cooking item is not quite as simple as it may seem. There are different types of this frying pan and they each require different care when in use and when it is being cleaned. Many cooks have received hard-earned lessons by unwittingly mistreating the instrument.
At times all we want is a delicious fried meal, and maybe with that brown yummy color. There are of course different cookwares that can give us this, but a frying pan does magic. Unlike today, in the past this pans had flared sides and were completely lidless. However, when it comes to adding a lid to prepare certain dishes, it absolutely changes to a Sauté pan.
Isn`t it extremely frustrating when you purchase a new frying pan only to realize that it isn`t exactly non-stick, or the non-stick just starts peeling away only after a few months of cooking? Well you are no alone on this and many have spent a rather small fortune on frying pans. As the old saying goes "you do get what you pay for", and this is ever so true, especially when it comes to cookware.
A really good frying pan is one that spreads the heat evenly across the entire surface, affording a shorter cook time and a smoother more appetizing food finish. Hard-anodized steel is a popular material often used in these pans and it does offer an even heat cooking quality. The only slight negative is you`ll need to clean this one by hand; it is not known to be dishwasher safe. Perhaps a slightly better product might be the laminated pans with several layers of aluminum and stainless steel together. The aluminum provides the even heat and the stainless steel provides the beautiful hard finish. And, it is dishwasher safe.
