Here is this week’s summary of the latest activities and news about Alex O’Loughlin and his projects:
You couldn’t have possibly missed the banner on the home page for the 2010 People’s Choice Awards! Three Rivers was selected as one of the final nominees for the PCA category “Favorite New TV Drama”. The other nominees in the same category are Eastwick, FlashForward, Melrose Place, Mercy, The Forgotten, The Good Wife, The Vampire Diaries, NCIS: Los Angeles and V.
Moonlight was the 2008 Favorite new TV Drama winner with 10 million votes (The Mentalist was the 2009 winner). Alex was enjoying an extended break at the time, thanks to the writers strike, and gave his acceptance speech from a sunny Australia.
The 2010 awards ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS from the Nokia Theatre in LA on January 6, 2010. Do you want to see Alex there? Then please vote for Three Rivers and vote as often as you can — it’s not only permitted, but it’s also required
!- Another poll that would benefit from your attention is at E! Online: Fall TV SOS: Save One Endangered New Show.
- CBS invites you to leave supportive comments on their Three Rivers Message Board and while you’re there, please also vote in the poll for last week’s episode, Alone Together. If you’re not already a member, then you will first need to register to be able to particpate on the board.
- TV Guide Magazine continues its weekly recap of Three Rivers with last Sunday’s episode in A Complicated Three Rivers and FlixChatter shares their thoughts too.
- As Sunday, November 29th falls within the US Thanksgiving Weekend, CBS has opted to broadcast A Dog Named Christmas instead of Three Rivers. Episode 9, A Roll of the Dice, is therefore now scheduled to air on December 6th. Actress Felicia Day is a guest star in this episode and promises to blog about her experience on the show.
- Although there is no news yet on whether CBS will be ordering the back nine episodes of Three Rivers, according to Broadcasting & Cable, CBS’s Senior EVP for Primetime, Kelly Kahl, has said that the network has no plans to yank Three Rivers. Not exactly promising, but it’s not bad news either. The show’s challenging timeslot is a perfectly good reason to give Three Rivers the time it needs to find its audience, so let’s not give up hope yet!
- Jennifer Lopez has made it to Twitter! You can follow her at http://twitter.com/jlo. Speaking of J.Lo, you can watch a great clip of Alex talking about The Back-Up Plan and working with Jennifer here. If you’re wondering why he’s wearing scrubs, the clip is from footage taped for CBS’s fabulous We’re Not Doctors promo. Many thanks to Nadioz at LovelyLopez.net for the upload!
- As you’ll by now know, Alex recently attended the IWC Schaffhausen event. Although it does not refer to the actual exhibit, check out a blog post by The New York Post: Two Guys Worth Watching. FashionWindows also published an article based on the IWC press release: Michael Muller’s Galapagos Islands Photo Exhibit Attracts Hollywood’s A-List.
- Don’t forget to tune in to The Luckiest Man tonight, with the wonderful Mandy Patinkin as ALS patient Victor on Three Rivers!
I hope you guys have a great week ahead of you!

I’ve been voting for Three Rivers at the Peoples Choice Awards site. Several shows that were initially listed are no longer there so it is important to keep voting!

Thank you MizzoH for the thorough weekly wrap up of anything relating to the fabulous and gifted Alex O’Loughlin. Yes, I’ve been voting at the sites for Alex and for the wonderful and refreshing new drama, Three Rivers. I also hope that Three Rivers wins the 2010 PCA for Favorite New TV Drama, because this show and the entire brilliant cast truly deserve it.
