It’s been another relatively quiet week, but there are still more than enough Alex O’Loughlin related activities to keep us busy! Most of what’s been happening concerns Three Rivers, but let’s kick-off with vamps first as it’s October 31st.
You may think it’s Halloween induced, but we all know that vamps have never been out of style:
- Horror channel Chiller will be airing all episodes of Moonlight between November 17th and December 1st! Multiple episodes will be aired almost every day, with a few exceptions. Enter Moonlight in the search box to get the complete schedule. Thanks for the heads-up, Vivian!
- The Guide to Beauty Schools (yes, I had the same thought you just did) posted The Vampire Craze: An In Depth Analysis Of The Hottest Male Vampires. You can’t vote, but you can leave a comment. I mean: Mick St. John at #14?!
- What would we do if a week went by without a vampire poll? If you’re on Twitter, then make sure you vote for the hottest vamp! Thanks Bianca!
There are additions to the gallery worth a special mention:
- An article from this week’s TV Guide about Mandy Patinkin’s return to the screen with a Three Rivers guest appearance: Oh Mandy! Patinkin’s Back. Many thanks to Alavenia for the magazine!
- A picture of Alex at the GBK Emmy gift lounge (most likely taken on September 19th); if you’re wondering what he’s got cradled in his hand, it’s a carnelian buddha on a cord necklace from Zen Jewelz. Great find, Anagogic – thanks!
- A cute picture of Alex with Maxim Knight taken on the CBS Paramount lot on October 6th. Maxim plays Dylan Campbell in Where We Lie, episode 1.06 of Three Rivers (airs November 8th). I’m assuming he’s the little boy who gets injured by a fairground ride. Thank you, Blondie!
Two important messages come from Glenn Matsuki:
- You can download a hi-res flyer in PDF format from Glenn’s Donate Life blog to print and distribute to friends and family, hang up at work or to promote Three Rivers in any way you can. The flyer is the familiar Three Rivers poster to which a Donate Life banner has been added. If you need a jpg file, it can be downloaded here.
- Glenn will be one of the riders on Donate Life’s Rose Parade float on January 1, 2010! The New Year’s celebration takes place in Pasadena, California every year. Sponsored by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA where he received a life-saving heart transplant over fourteen years ago, Glenn is raising funds for the continuation of organ donation awareness events and educational forums. Glenn writes, “Having never met my donor family, I am forever thankful for their brave decision to give me a second chance at life and because of their generosity I have dedicated my life’s endeavors to helping donor families and transplant recipients.” Please visit Glenn’s Rose Parade fundraising page if you’d like to make a contribution! The Donate Life float entry is called New Life Rises and represents the new-born, mythical phoenix. The 24 float riders represent the millions of people touched by organ and tissue donation – families, donors and recipients alike. To learn more, please visit: http://www.donatelifefloat.org. Congratulations on being selected, Glenn!
Last but certainly not least, a couple of Three Rivers items:
- TV Guide Magazine posted a nice recap of Code Green, episode 1.04: Three Rivers Scores a Touchdown.
- Make sure you check out the Three Rivers Undercover writers’ blog! The October 26 post is about Code Green, which appears to be Carol Barbee’s favorite episode so far. That the show is definitely making a difference, is proved by this entry: “But this week, the writers room heard three separate stories of real families donating their loved ones’ organs because they saw it on 3R. That put smiles on our faces.” Way to go, guys!
- Star Pulse has started the poll Which New TV Shows Should be Saved? Please make sure you vote for Three Rivers! Thanks to Radiant for the heads-up!

It is wonderful to see new pictures of Alex. He always seems to light up when posing with children.
It is also tremendous news that Three Rivers is making people think about and chose organ donation! I agree with Carol that Code Green was the best episode so far and really enjoy the writers’ blog.
Thank you mizzoH for all the information!
Thank you, thank you, thank you MizzoH for always being so thorough in your weekly wrap up. I love reading the detailed information in this fantastic post. I know that I am always up to date after reading your comments.
