Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan and Masi Oka are just some of the many celebrities who have shot individual Public Service Announcements for TalkAboutIt.org, a website that actor Greg Grunberg developed together with the Epilepsy Foundation and Lundbeck, Inc.
Greg, who is currently filming his guest appearance for episode 2.08 of Hawaii Five-0, has a son who is afflicted with epilepsy and realized soon after the diagnosis was made that the public knows very little about the condition. The objective of TalkAboutIt.org is to raise awareness about epilepsy, encourage people to ask questions, provide answers and hopefully to help change the public’s perceptions and make a difference for those affected as well as their families and friends.

Fantastic that the cast of H50 participates in such a good campaign!
The day that this was published, I just had First Aid trainingcourse about what to do on board an aircraft with passengers who become ill. One was what to do after someone has an epileptic seizure.
It’s a scary thought that something like that might happen at 30.000 ft, but it’s a good thing that we are being trained to react quickly and in a good manner.
Thanks Mizz!
I think this is a great campaign and so happy Alex and others are participating in it! Epilepsy restricts so many lives and I think Greg’s campaign will bring it to people’s attention. Thanks Mizz!
Thanks! It’s great that Alex O’Loughlin is encouraging people to talk about the subject!
This is a really good idea getting celebs to talk about Epilepsy.
Well done Greg for developing this website !
He’d definitely win a staring contest!
Having witnessed a co-worker during a seizure, I sympathize with families and anyone affected by epilepsy. It can be a very scary thing for everyone involved. Knowing what to do, and what not to do, makes all the difference in the world.
Kudos to Alex encouraging people to talk about it.
