A great behind-the-scenes look at recording the theme song for Hawaii Five-0 2010 with Brian Tyler, who arranged and conducted. Showrunner Peter Lenkov says: “When you’re talking to people and saying you’re rebooting Hawaii Five-0, the first thing they say to you is ‘Don’t mess up the theme song’. That’s what we’re doing here today: is not messing up the theme song.”

Thank you Mizz. I love, love, love the Hawaii Five-0 theme song. I love all the promo trailers being aired by CBS. H50 with the awesome and brilliant cast (Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Grace Park and Daniel Dae Park) is going to be CBS’ next new successful crime drama series for the 2010-2011 season.
Okay!! That’s much better. I kinda squirmed at the first run-through they had on the original commercials. I have NO problem with hard bass versions…one of the absolute best out there being by Gary Hoey (Monster Surf) which really rocks, but man, this is something we “old” fans of the original show really loved, the dang theme. I adore Alex, and seeing him in a new version is wonderful. Keep the “Book ‘em Danno” and the theme, and the rest, go for the gold; all of the video previews of the new are smashing.
