The pilot of the new medical drama Three Rivers, starring Alex O’Loughlin, is apparently so good that it deserves Donate Life Hollywood’s first annual Inspire Award!
The honor will be presented on Saturday, June 13th at a dinner and ceremony at the close of the inaugural Donate Life Hollywood Film Festival and is awarded on behalf of the organ and tissue donation and transplant community.
According to the Donate Life Hollywood press release, the Three Rivers pilot not only meets, but also exceeds the organization’s criteria on several points, including medical accuracy, and presents the process of organ donation and transplantation in a positive light to viewers.
“Carol Barbee, who penned the pilot episode of ‘Three Rivers,’ went above and beyond to create a show that is dramatic, yet accurate,” said Donate Life Hollywood campaign director Tenaya Wallace.
There will also be a special screening of the Three Rivers pilot during the Donate Life Hollywood Film Festival. The film festival and awards activities will take place at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles.

The Inspire Award is only the first of many awards to come for Three Rivers and our gifted Alex O’Loughlin. Three Rivers will win the 2010 People’s Choice Awards, the Emmy Awards for Best New Drama and Best Actor! I also believe that Three Rivers will be running for many seasons on CBS.
