Features Director Len Wiseman Heads for “Hawaii Five-0″ Pilot

The Hawaii Five-0 remake has found a director for its pilot and IESB reports that it’s feature film director Len Wiseman! Len is married to Whiteout‘s Kate Beckinsale, whom he directed in two Underworld movies.

An interesting piece of trivia is that he was 15 when he saw the first Die Hard film and shot his own version of it with the family video camera. Two decades later he got to direct Bruce Willis in the fourth installment, Live Free or Die Hard, which, incidentally, was his last directing project.

With approximately three weeks to go before shooting is said to be starting in Hawaii for the pilot, we are still waiting for casting to be announced for some key roles, including that of Danno Williams.

Thank you MizzoH. This is incredibly superb news for Hawaii Five-O. With an excellent and talented team of actors, writers, producers and now director (Len Wiseman), Hawaii Five-O is going to be a successful crime drama on CBS.
