Three Rivers is really starting to come into its own: compelling storytelling, engrossing character development, the right dose of humor, the sad end of a marriage in the last episode and the hint of possible budding romance in the next… The show is given the time to grow on us and it’s great that people are starting to take notice!
- FlixChatter says about episode 5, Alone Together:
Talk about wish granted! It’s been such a slow-burn as it were, but finally the writers of Three Rivers delivered. The ‘Alone Together’ episode was by far the most entertaining and emotionally-charged episode ever. It’s got humor, wise words, heart-tugging scenes, and at long last, an engaging — albeit fleeting — love story!
… a solid episode with the kind of character insights I’ve been yearning for from the start. There are still too much hyper-realistic surgical scenes for my liking, but overall it’s definitely an improvement. If the writers keep this up, this show can — and should — be saved!
- Megan Walsh-Boyle of TV Guide is not only enjoying the show, but has also discovered Alex’s amazing abs. The guitar sequence with Andy and Kuol is probably the scene that gets rewound the most by Alex’s fans. More guitar-playing Andy please, CBS!
- Suburban King blogged about his stint this spring as an extra in the show’s original (and unaired) pilot — read about it in Three Rivers – The Lost Pilot. He has updated his blog post with the comment that the scene he participated in may be included in the episode that’s set to air on December 13th. Also check out his photos — you can catch a glimpse of Alex in the bottom right image, standing to the right of Christoper Hanke.

Some great magazine scans have been added to the gallery! There are articles from New York Vue, TV Week in Australia and thanks to Alavenia, an interview with Mandy Patinkin in the TV Guide in the US:
And to close with a Moonlight item with thanks to Deb for the heads-up: The Paley Center in both New York and LA is hosting a vampire weekend called Dark Shadows at Twilight from November 13-15. On Saturday, November 14th they will be screening the Moonlight panel discussion with the show’s cast from April 2008 at the LA event. Wouldn’t it be great if they released this on DVD so that all Moonlight and Alex fans could enjoy it?
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, everyone!
