For over three years, via AlexOLoughlinRocks.com, I have been a dedicated supporter of Alex and his work. The experience of creating and running a fan site has been fun, educational and exciting and I’m grateful to have been a part of the public fandom.
After I recently accepted a wonderful new professional opportunity, I also discovered that it’s just not possible to continue to maintain the website at the pace that I want to, given the time and effort it demands. Therefore, after much deliberation, I have decided to close it down.
This is my last post, and no further updates will be made. The site and galleries will remain accessible until February 10, 2012.
Thank you to every single one of you who has supported the site and me personally in so many ways. I could not have done this without you, and hope to continue interacting with fans in the social media.
This has truly been one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make. Alex will always have a special place in my heart and I look forward to many more seasons of Hawaii Five-0 and wish him continued success and happiness!

Dearest Mizz: thanks has never been enough for your hard, loving work. Alex and we are losing the best site there is, with the best info. Your work is amazing, and I have to agree with those who envy you new employer.
I do understand that it is impossible to keep up the quality of the site when you have to place all your profesional capabilities in a RL important endeavor. I wish you all the best and hope to continue finding your wonderful insights throughout our fandom. These have been 3 wonderful years of fun and all kinds of emotions. Mizz, It was a bit of shock to read that AOLR is being closed down.
I’ll really miss reading the weekly up-dates when I get home from work each Monday, watching the videos, etc. You’ve done a brilliant job for the last 3 years and I know all Alex/H50 fans will really miss this site 
I wish you all the best in your new role and your new employers are very lucky to have you. You have to grab a career opportunity when it comes along these days.
One thing I have to know, did you put running AOLR on your CV ?

I am staggered and saddened by this news….
Everything that has already been said goes for me too. I am so sorry that this site is not remaining open. It is such a shame that no-one could keep it running. It would be well worth the effort.
I have enjoyed my daily visits and had not found any other site that even comes close to this. I still haven’t expolred everything that is on here and I will be very sad to see it go… It really does feel like losing a friend.

Hello Mizz, has been an unpleasant surprise for me to read the sad news of the closure of this wonderful website, was the first forum I met about Alex, and for me has always been the best, a unique website, where it can find easy and confortably everything about Alex and his world, always well-documented and organized.
, in the end we all become real fans also of Alex O’Loughlin Rocks, it was almost an obligation to visit every day the site to catch up with all the news, and your Weekly Wrap-up have been the best I’ve seen for long time.
I fully understand that the first thing is to accept a good professional opportunity when it occurs and that the personal life should always prevail.
I guess that maintaining a fan site so complete as this involves a lot of work, effort, dedication and time, but its closure is terrible news for all fans of Alex
If I could have one wish, would be that someone you trust could continue with the website and your excellent work, I know we’ll all miss you very much, but I hope we finding to you on other websites.
My most sincere thanks for all the unforgetable time you have shared with us, my best wishes to you and hope your future will be bright and happy, just wish it on our beloved Alex too.

First I applaud you for making such a difficult decision to close the site knowing that you would not be have the time to maintain it at such high quality. AOLRocks is by far and will always be remembered as the best “in the biz”. I could ALWAYS count on you for providing us fans with the most complete coverage of all things AOL! No one has or will be as passionate as you are.
Second congratulations on your new “professional opportunity”. Your new colleagues will quickly realize what a “gem” they have found!
