It was raining in Sydney and lots of noisy Twihards were lined up along the black carpet calling for Kellan Lutz, but there were also enough Alex O’Loughlin fans who faithfully waited for him to arrive at Sydney’s iconic Opera House for tonight’s highly anticipated GQ Men of the Year Awards. Alex — all smiles — appeared a little nervous at first, but of course did make time, as he always does, to pose with his fans for pictures and sign autographs.

Although the official Man of the Year 2011 title went to fellow actor Joel Edgerton, Alex did take home the well-deserved award for Actor of the Year and his friend, the legendary Jack Thompson, was there to announce it and congratulate him!

Congratulations, Alex, on this wonderful honor! And as far as we’re concerned, you’re our Man of the Year, every single year!
