Storyline:
“Alaheo Pau’ole*” – On the eve of Chin Ho’s wedding to Malia, Five-0’s investigation into a man left for dead in an abandoned WWII bunker crosses paths with Capt. Fryer’s case of a Jane Doe.

*Alaheo Pau’ole is Hawaiian for “Gone Forever”

Trivia:
  • Aisa Wily, Taylor Wily’s son, is the ring bearer in the wedding scene.
  • Kamekona unlocks Danny’s handcuffs with a makau, a traditional fish hook. (Source: Five-0 Undercover)
  • Peter Lenkov and Daniel Dae Kim received considerable flak from the locals for having Chin Ho say “flip-flops” instead of “slippers” in episode 1.05. In 2.12, Steve suggests “boardies and slippers” for Chin’s and Malia’s beach wedding.

Memorable Quotes:
Joe:
I didn’t know Danny was living at the Hilton.
Steve:
Oh, he’s kind of between places right now.
Joe:
You got space.
Steve:
Yeah, we, uh, we tried that. It didn’t work out so well.
+++
+++
Kamekona:
So what you guys think? Buttercup, Cabernet, Paisley Lavender Sunset for the vest?
Chin Ho:
No, no, no. Malia was very specific. There are no vests, no bow ties, and no paisley lavender anything.
+++
+++
Chin Ho:
This whole valley has hundreds of these unexplored lava tubes.
Danny:
I’m thinking there’s a reason they’re unexplored.
Max:
Actually –
Danny:
Whoa!
Max:
– the system has been explored, just not mapped by the Underground Paradise Spelunking Club, of which I am a founding member and treasurer.
Danny:
Oh, well, thank you, Captain Caveman.
+++
+++
Chin Ho:
That looks deep.
Max:
I estimate the floor to be at a depth of 30 meters.
Danny:
Thirty meters. Well, this definitely looks like a job for a Navy SEAL.
+++
+++
Chin Ho:
[To Danny] You’ve been hanging with McGarrett too long.
+++
+++
Danny:
Okay. Hold on. All right? Look. You got a case. We got a case.
Fryer:
He’s right. Let’s let bygones be bygones. Let’s pool our resources and work this case together.
Steve:
Okay, fine.
Danny:
All right. Good! All right, this is nice. Maybe you guys wanna hug it out a little bit. Fist bump?
Steve:
Uh uh –
Danny:
Something like that?
Fryer:
Um, no. Let’s just work the case, okay?
+++
+++
Steve:
[To Fryer] Put your grass skirt on, partner, we got work to do.
