Summary:

“Ma Ke Kahakai*” - While hiking in a remote area of the jungle to see the famed petroglyphs, McGarrett and Danny instead find a homicide victim. Meanwhile, their aunt’s failing health leads Kono and Chin Ho to visit home, where Kono finally learns the truth about the scandal that ended her cousin’s career with the Honolulu Police Department.

*”Ma Ke Kahakai” is Hawaiian for “Shore.”

Musical duo Hapa perform Olinda Road in a scene at the Hilton Hawiian Village’s Tropics Bar & Grill. Daniel Dae Kim says the song “will always represent Hawaii to me since I listened to NPR every morning after moving to Hawaii.” Source: Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

I loved this episode!!!! Alex totally rocked it and looked hot doing it. The rest of the cast was great too. The scenes with Kono and Chin and their family really gave us the additional back story we’ve been waiting for. I love character epis and hats off to the writers for hearing us. Loved Danny’s “I u” and Steve using chopsticks to get the bullet out of the fish. Talk about SEAL preparedness, in addition to having the duct tape, he had climbing shoes in his bag and a night vision camera in the truck! Go Steve!
