Memorable Quotes:
Steve:
“Yo.” What happened to the courtesy knock?
Danny:
I think that played out with the high five and the bro hug. You want me to do it now? Happy?
+++
+++
Danny:
You bought it online?
Steve:
What are you, a schmuck? What’s the matter with you, you don’t order anything off the internet!
Steve:
Danny, it’s the 21st century.
Danny:
That with the guy with no master cylinder.
Steve:
You got a point.
+++
+++
Danny:
CHiPs! Reminds me of CHiPs, you remember CHiPs?
Steve:
Of course I remember CHiPs. You know, I always thought that would be the sweetest gig. You get to ride a motorcycle all day, solving crimes, going on chases…
Danny:
No, no, no, no — you know, the mortality rate of motor cops is five times higher than regular people.
Steve:
Hey Danny, it’s a TV cop fantasy, why you gotta ruin this with statistics?
Danny:
All right, fine, it’s a TV cop fantasy. In my TV cop fantasy, I’m Erik Estrada, you’re the other guy.
Steve:
I don’t think so, baby.
+++
+++
Steve:
Okay, what about our John Doe #2?
Danny:
You mean Jack?
Steve:
You got an ID?
Danny:
No. His head was in a box. Jack?
Chin-Ho:
That just ain’t right, brah.
Danny:
Too soon?
Steve:
A little bit. Okay, what do you know about him?
Danny:
Besides the fact that his eyes are blue, nothing. Max says that he’s done posting the body in the head, so we should head over.
+++
+++
Steve:
Doesn’t the HPD have a tattoo database they use to ID suspects?
Danny:
Why? You don’t think that says ‘Mom’ in Chinese?
+++
+++
Steve:
Danny, as far as we know, Han Chi never even met the victim.
Danny:
The guy is driving around with a head in his car, Stephen. Okay? Just a head. A grande cabeza. The cops go to pull him over, and he runs.
+++
+++
Steve:
[To Danny] Oh, okay. Now I didn’t know that I was traveling in the car with Dr. Sigmund Freud, this is awesome!
+++
+++
Danny:
Not so close, Wilcox!
Steve:
You know what, relax. Don’t tell me how to tail a suspect. And by the way, if this was CHiPs, I’d be Estrada and you’d be Wilcox, all right?
Danny:
I don’t think so.
+++
+++
Danny:
Estrada was a bad bitch, man.
Steve:
Yeah. That’s why there’s no way.
Danny:
Wait a minute. Why can’t I be Estrada?
Steve:
In a world where I didn’t exist, you can be whatever you want.
Danny:
That world sounds lovely.

    I wonder if the writers will bring Chin Ho and his finacee back together in Season 2. Chin Ho tried to protect her from the ugliness surrounding the missing money and she still wears his engagement ring. Now that we know the uncle took the money, Chin has no reason not to re-connect with her. Other than Kono being snipish with her of course. Looking forward to seeing Chin’s character expand. I was a big fan of his character on LOST too.

    I love to watch Steve’s face when he interacts with the children on the show. There is a softening and almost impish quality that is just below the surface, like he is holding back teasing the youngster. His eyes sort of twinkle and the corner of his mouth turns up ever so slightly. I find that an enchanting quality in the man and Alex IS the man. I think that in those brief instances, we are truly seeing Alex the man and father.
