Summary:

“Hana ‘a’a Makehewa*”- It’s Christmas in Hawaii, but instead of celebrating, Five-0 is negotiating a hostage situation when the man who killed McGarrett’s father resurfaces. The murderer, Victor Hesse, threatens to detonate an explosive that he’s strapped to Chin Ho’s chest.

*”Hana ‘a’a Makehewa” is Hawaiian for “Desperate Measures.”

Dennis Chun appears for the first time in this episode as HPD’s Sergeant Duke Lukela. Dennis is the son of Kam Fong, who played Chin Ho Kelly in the original series. Kam Fong was an HPD officer before he joined the show.
