Unique Opportunity for 5 Ultimate Hawaii Five-0 Fans!

CBS announced a unique opportunity for five Hawaii Five-0 fans today! Before you get too excited, however, here’s the pesky small print first: this contest is open only to legal U.S. residents 18 years or older.

It’s a shame that CBS chooses not to recognize that there are legions of deserving fans outside the United States as well, although I expect there may also be legal reasons involved for not opening this up to overseas Five-0 aficionados too. Having said that, this competition will interest only the extroverts, anyway…   :wink2:

Read on for more details and the best of luck to everyone who participates!

    Hi Mizz,

I am also very disappointed it is only for US residents.. :cry3:
I’m in Australia and I would love to go to Hawaii and meet the cast etc.. I mean who wouldn’t… I don’t think it is fair to the fans outside the US to not be allowed to play…
I hope they will make something else available for all the overseas followers

:thankyou: Mizz for your super site, you always have the latest news for us and the best pics and vids!! So glad I found your page :highfive:

    G’day MJ

  2. ilovealexo says:

Yeah I a from South Africa and have loved Alex for a long time. They are currently airing H5.0 in South Africa and I think CBS is really not thinking this through. I in my personal capacity have rallied all my friends and their friends to watch H5.0 so it is high time that CBS starts acknowledging us International fans as well. I think people must start boycotting these competitions as they are not fair!! – Yeah right as thought that is gonna happen lol – I would not give up a chance to meet Alex either

  3. Eliza says:

This is disappointing for viewers outside the US, although personally I don’t even like having photos taken,
never mind a video of myself singing the theme tune. I’m sure that other fans aren’t as camera shy as me.

Viewers from all countries have made H50 the success that it is. Perhaps CBS can’t afford the airfare to fly the winners from anywhere outside the US :giggle:

I have entered the Sky TV Hawaii Five-0 competition which only UK and Irish residents can enter.

    Good luck to myself :cheerldr:

  4. alavenia says:

I entered!!! :banana2: I feel bad that you guys cant participate, it isn’t fair specially today that they get so much help promoting the show from fans from other countries, is really a shame!

  5. Margroks says:

Maybe they plan to run other contests for international fans?

    • mizzoh says:

I doubt it, CBS will leave that to the networks that air the show in the overseas countries. Some networks will do something with it and others won’t. It’s a shame they draw those kind of boundaries, when the fans themselves don’t. It undermines the feeling of unity (all fans are created equal, but some are more equal than others 8) ).

  6. Skylar says:

I’m personally fed up with CBS’s attitude towards its international fans. I get a CBS affiliate here in Canada that encourages Canadian viewers to watch their station and visit their city. Obviously the head office doesn’t realize this. I find CBS’s attitude towards us all very insulting.

  7. mizzoh says:

I think it’s short-sighted of them to limit this to the US only and therefore disappoint thousands of fans, but what the hell do I know?

  8. tammy says:

Ahw man  , why don’t they do those things here in Holland or for Europe.
There are big fans here as well as you said :cry3: .

    :thanks: Mizz
