Alex O’Loughlin had already mentioned in a recent audio interview that Three Rivers will not be filmed in Pittsburgh, but in Los Angeles. Rob Owen of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette confirmed this yesterday with a publicist for the show. In his Tuned In Journal blog, Rob writes, “Despite Pennsylvania’s tax incentives for filmmakers, actors often have contracts that ensure they’ll film in a production center such as Los Angeles, New York or Vancouver.”
Of course, Three Rivers will not be able to do entirely without footage shot in Pittsburgh, but Owen expects that cost savings efforts will keep that limited to a bare minimum.

I’m happy for Alex – it seems like he is happy in LA.
I think that it is better for Alex not to leave for a long time Los Angeles, at least for the time being, before the promotion of the safety copy of “The Back Up Plan”, after filming, with everything what supposes of being on the means constantly and, after all, Hollywood is the center of the world for an actor.
