Here’s an excerpt from the book “A Star is Found: Our Adventures Casting Some of Hollywood’s Biggest Movies“. It was written by Janet Hirshenson and Jane Jenkins, who founded one of LA’s premier casting agencies, The Casting Company, and was first published in November, 2006.
Having auditioned Alex O’Loughlin for James Bond and (presumably) a bigger role in The Holiday than he ended up with, both casting gurus give him a glowing reference.

Thanks MizzoH. Alex has all the qualities to be a super star, with many acting awards in his future. Alex will be the next James Bond and win many high profile roles in major films and television shows. I also hope that Alex’s Three Rivers will be a long-running medical drama on television.

I saw this book at Amazon. I thought that was very cool when I read it.
There is also a book that “reviews” TV for 2007, including all 16 episodes of Moonlight. I didn’t buy it, as it was obvious that they did the book just to try to make money off of the ML fans. Their “reviews” of the episodes sucked, to put it bluntly.
Anyway, thanks for printing this – I loved what they had to say about Alex.
