Ask fans what their wishlist is for Season 2 of Hawaii Five-0 and you’re bound to get a huge response! And that’s exactly what happened when Melissa Bijeaux, staff writer for PopStar.com, reached out to fans on Twitter and asked for their feedback.
Here’s a bird’s eye view:
Character Development
This one should not come as a huge surprise to anyone: We want more backstories for our awesome foursome with more interaction between them, and less focus on the procedural aspect of the show.
Specifically: give us more Steve the SEAL as opposed to Steve the Five-0 leader. More Chin, Kono – and yes – more Jenna and Kamekona!
New Characters
Fans are far less keen about the addition of Lori Wilson to the team. The labels “possible love interest” and “female McGarrett” have gotten only a luke-warm reception at best and the perceived characterization of the new Governor’s eyes and ears is being met with considerable resistance from the fans.
What Steve had with Catherine was considered “perfect”, so why fix it if it ain’t broken?
“The Danny/Rachel Thing”
What happened between Danny and Rachel is considered to be out of character for our by-the-book detective and devoted father, and fans are quite vehement about this and want to see the matter resolved quickly and cleanly.
The Bromance Rules!
We are definitely smitten with the Steve-Danny dynamic and want to see their friendship blossom. Melissa formulates the appeal of their bromance perfectly:
Alex O’Loughlin has a wonderful ability to keep Steve stoic and strong, like any good hero, but also show a vulnerable side that needs Danny Williams as a touchstone in his life. He’s nearly as much an outsider on the island as Danny is and the fans loved the little moments where Steve offered pieces of himself to his partner.
And it’s not all one-sided, as Danny has been known to draw big “air hearts” at Steve from time to time.
Needless to say, these guys care about each other and we like to watch them care about each other.

Peter Lenkov expects that four episodes will be in the can and an additional four scripts will be ready by the time September rolls around. With six weeks to go before the new season premieres on CBS on September 19, everyone is looking forward to finally discovering where the show is headed.
As far as I’m concerned, the only way is up for Hawaii Five-0!
Bring Catherine back. It makes no sesne to bring in another LI for Steve when they never gave the one he’s supposedly had for years a real chance.
I liked Catherine and could see her or another non-team member as a romantic interest for Steve. I don’t see a new team member as doing anything but taking time from Steve and Danno and Chin and Kono. When they wanted to mix things up they paired Danno and Kona and Steve and Chin sucessfully. I think the producers are breaking something that worked really, really well. I just saw the twitter post of Danno and the new girl in the car. How sad!!!
I’m one of the many fans not looking forward to this female McGarrett.
I really liked Catherine and thought that she could have become more of a regular player. They would have had to replace the actress (female actor). I think that would have been better received by fans. Still looking forward to the new season. 
I want to see how they get McGarrett out of the mess he’s gotten himself into this time.

I’ve read so much about this show – seems as though I remember that Alex told the producers he wanted McGarrett to have more than one love interest during the course of the show. I liked the unexpectedness of Catherine’s appearances in episodes – such as the Tsunami episode.

Give Steve a regular love interest and the ratings will go up. I know it. The ‘bromance’ thing only goes so far. Another loveless season for Steve again will not be a good thing. :(
So my biggest wish for this season is him having a relationship, like Danny is allowed to have. 
I agree on the Cathrine thing, it could happe a little more often though, so we will se the softer side of him i love it
and any chance to see him shirtless ofcourse 
to bad 6 weeks is still pretty long when your waiting for someting
