With just seven more weeks to go until the highly anticipated release of Hawaii Five-0′s Season 1 on DVD in the US, everyone is curious about the actual content of the set, and the special features in particular. After all, Peter Lenkov did promise us that it would be “loaded with extras”!
The official description that CBS and Paramount Home Entertainment teased us with early July did not reveal any real details:
The new HAWAII FIVE-0 is a contemporary take on the classic series about a new elite federalized task force whose mission is to wipe out the crime that washes up on the Islands’ sun-drenched beaches. One of the season’s top new series debuts on DVD in time for the Season 2 premiere. This 6-disc set features all 24 dramatic and action-filled episodes, and is packed with DVD-exclusive special features including behind-the-scenes featurettes, cast & crew commentaries, deleted scenes and more! Stars Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim, and Grace Park.
The good news for us curious fans is that DVD releases in the UK undergo a legal review by the British Board of Film Classification and that the Board makes its decisions public.
From the BBFC’s post on August 1 about the additional material submitted for inclusion on the Hawaii Five-0 UK DVD, we can establish that there are approximately 154 minutes of extras to look forward to and (barring revisions) that they will include the following:

The Hawaii Five-0 Season 1 DVD will be released in the US and Canada on September 20, followed by the UK on September 26 and Australia on December 1. The extra features may differ from the UK release.
The Blu-Ray version can now also be pre-ordered from Amazon UK and you can sign up to be alerted when it comes available at Amazon.com.

The UK sites: Amazon and Play.com are letting us pre-order on DVD and Blu-Ray now.
I’ll be getting the Blu-Ray version after all pointless having a blu-ray player and not using it
