Shelburne is, what tiny brain I had before is now the size of a tic tac.
turning my mind to another mystery : who is the real father of Rachel’s baby? I also think it’s Danny and I think the baby is going to be born with glorious strawberry blond hair and a Jersey accent….
That baby definitely won’t be liking pineapple and ham on its pizza!
When Chin conveys a message, it usually is some news from HPD. My guess, there is a warrant out for the arrest of Joe White for the disapearence and possible murder of Makoto or Hiro Noshimuri. Rock solid evidence (most probably planted by Wo Fat) indicates Joe as the suspect and he has gone underground. Joe contacts Steve, tells him to meet him, to clear up some issues. Steve looks a bit weary but follows him down an alleyway. At the grey door Joe stops and tells Steve that what lies behind that door is, going to change his life for ever……he opens the door and finds 1) Mokoto alive and well and he reveals himself as Shelburne, 2) a beautiful eldely women, that Steve recognises as his mother 3) a Asian women/man that Joe introduces as a long lost half brother/sister (a child of an old love of John during the Vietnam war)…..
(that my 2cents worth) 
If Shelburne is not a surname of somebody it might be a name given to somebody that has been informing John and he /she warned him that “she will burn” (in regards to his wife’s horrible death) and either he listened and protected her or did not and regretted it from then on…..
I have to rethink the first part of my theory, it seems like it already happens in 2:13. I’ll commit myself to one theory about Shelburne – An Asian person, about 10 years older than Steve, from Osaka Japan that has been informing John about the Yakusa for years. I think it is a women (even have an Actress in mind for the role). In Steve’s flashback he remembers seeing this person with his Dad, just before or after his mothers death.
Ok. Here is a totally paranoid possibility that will make everyone ROTFL. What if Shelburne is a secret code name the way the secret service gives the First Family code names so they can be discussed safely. . . and Shelburne is Steve? (You may commence ROTFL)
Wow! You are hereby more paranoid about this whole Shelburne thing than I am! I am totally going to freak out by the time this episode airs.
I personally think that it was Joe who faked Steve’s Mum’s death. I always had a problem with the idea that it was John McGarrett who did it. If he was such a good man why would he let his kids think that their mother was dead and then ship them off as well. Letting his adult kids think he was dead also seems pretty cruel, so I don’t think Shelbourne is Steve’s Dad. Plus why would he be asking about it on the tape?
Plus – I can’t help but wonder if ‘Operation Strawberry Fields’ has something to do with all this. I still can’t work out why they mentioned it and the look on Steve’s face….. An abscure clue, or a red herring?…..
OMG! What if Shelburne is Mary Ann McGarrett?! Taryn Manning was asked recently when she would next appear on H50 and her response was “Very soon.” No specifics…..

Sorry Kiki, but I’m having trouble picturing Wo Fat being being terrified of Mary Ann.
I can’t help but think that the shocking news about Joe would either mean that Joe is Shelburne or that Joe is McG’s father (Steve needs some serious therapy if it turns out he’s both). Anyone else have other scenarios to add for Joe? Take your time, we have another month of nail biting to go…
I must say Steve ‘White” running Five-0 from now on will really freak me out!
It will change the whole story (no longer his grandfather who died at Pearl Habor etc.) Think the Joe thing is less than what they try to make us believe in the press release (They just want to fool us 
)

Is there a reason why they haven’t done a press release for 2.13?
And is the Guest cast left emty by CBS also with a spesific reason?
They’ve now also released 2.13.
Guest cast for 2.14 is left open probably so that the identity of Shelburne is kept under wraps. Peter wasn’t born yesterday! (We probably also shouldn’t expect any clues from the stills… if they release any at all.)

Otherwise they could have easily hiden it amongst other guest actors without us knowing!
2nd Question speculation: Have we already seen Shelburne on H5-0 before? or
Will the persons character name give it away – Maybe a familiar surname (like McGarrett) or is the persons real surname Shelburne and does not have another ‘real’ name?
And I still think that baby is Danny’s!
Re Shelburne: not listing the guest cast could either mean that he/she is completely new to the show and is known only as “Shelburne”, or it could mean that if they add the guest stars and there’s no “Shelburne” listed, we’d speculate that he/she IS a familiar face.
I’m hoping for something more outrageous than we’ve all imagined!!
Less than a week for 2.13. Less than 3 weeks for 2.14. I can hardly wait!
