It seems that the long drought has ended… at least it has in this fandom! Criminal Minds Fanatic has posted the first photo of Alex O’Loughlin that we have seen since early December. Be still my beating heart! It was taken during the filming of the highly anticipated episode of the show in which Alex is guest starring. He is pictured with the show’s script coordinator/writer Rick Dunkle. Alex looks good… a little tired, a little different, but definitely a sight for sore eyes! Go Alex!
Well, there’s great news and there’s bad news. The Bad: The photos at the CM blog are copyrighted, so there’s no posting elsewhere permitted. The Great: More pictures of Alex are on their way and a little bird has told me that the next set will be posted tomorrow (i.e. Saturday). So if you need me, you will find me at my desk all day, checking the blog every couple of seconds. There’s no rest for the wicked!
Update 09-Mar-09: The photos of Alex were taken on Thursday, March 5, 2009. Criminal Minds Fanatic will be posting more photos within the next few days!

Grace, I totally agree with you. I don’t know how Alex manages it, but he looks so much younger in these pics. I can hardly fathom that this is the same person who played Mick St. John. He looks too young for the part — I know that vampires don’t age, but I’ve never heard of them getting younger
Having said that, with regards to his serial killer role, let’s not forget that a serial killer doesn’t always need to look like one; Ted Bundy was good looking and a charmer. Hard to imagine, but there you go.
He looks years younger in these photos! So looking forward to seeing his serial killer side…the photos certainly don’t paint a violent picture of him…if anything, he looks more innocent than ever. Thank you for the gift of the delicious one…certainly made my heart pound a little faster!!!
