In an article posted on May 27th, The Hollywood Reporter mentions that some shows are being recast, including Three Rivers.
Although they were in the pilot, Julia Ormond (head of surgery, Dr. Sophia Jordan) and Joaquim de Almeida (Dr. Victor Campos) will not be returning now that the show has been picked up.
The tweaking of casts once the upfronts are out of the way is not uncommon practice among the networks. Other CBS shows so affected are NCIS: Los Angeles, Miami Trauma and The Good Wife.

I was excited about Julia Ormond in Three Rivers, she´s a beautiful and talented actress!…..Well, now that she´s out, how about a certain Sophia Myles
I’m disappointed that Julia Ormond is not going to be a regular cast member in Three Rivers. Thank goodness that Alex O’Loughlin is still in Three Rivers.
It is unfortunate that Julia Ormond is out, I hope they can find someone as talented to replace her!
