CBS will announce its fall schedule on Wednesday but it told producers of six shows Monday that the network will order their series for the new season.
Two medical dramas will be included. “Three Rivers” will star Julia Ormond (“Benjamin Button”) and Alex O’Loughlin (“Moonlight”) about a team of transplant surgeons. “Miami Trauma” will deal with the intense work of a trauma unit in South Florida; it stars Jeremy Northham (“The Tudors”). — Bill Carter in The New York Times, May 18, 2009
Dramas getting the nod from the Eye include three from CBS TV Studios: “The Good Wife,” starring Julianna Margulies as a legal eagle; Alex O’Loughlin starrer “Three Rivers,” a medical-themed drama about organ transplants from the eyes of donors and recipient; and the spinoff of “NCIS” starring LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell.

Bravo and congratulations Alex and Three Rivers. CBS officially approves Three Rivers for 2009-2010 season! All the die hard fans now have something to look forward to on our weekly television viewing this fall season!
Now, I can celebrate! It is official. CBS has picked up “Three Rivers.” YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally, Alex will grace our screens once again on a weekly basis. Now, that is what I call cool and exciting. I can’t wait for the world to see just how talented and awesome of a star he truly is. I LOVE YOU ALEX!
This is really great news, tomorrow we finally will get the final announcement and start counting the days that we will have Alex back on television every week!
This has been a great year for Alex!
I am so happy, but I really wasn’t all that worried – I just felt like CBS had every intention all along to make sure that Three Rivers was on this fall. I am surprised that the other medical show was picked up as well, but who cares – LOL. This is going to be an awesome year for Alex and for us – like Lan said – Three Rivers, WhiteOut in 9/09 (well, at least that was the LAST date given…) – then the Back-Up Plan. Alex was so amazing as Vincent on Criminal Minds – I just know he will get an Emmy for best guest star – and I can hardly wait to see Alex accepting his first Emmys and Oscars that I KNOW he is going to get soon. I am so happy and excited for Alex – and again – for US!
I am excited, but holding celebrations until the 20th. CBS is tricky as we know! So, until then, I am praying!
I am so excited mizz. Can’t wait for Wednesday!!!
Can you imagine that! If Three Rivers is picked up, Alex will be around us for a regular schedule, plus Whiteout, plus the Backup Plan on Jannuary 2010…
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
