I just had to post this as many of us were so concerned about Dusty’s welfare! As you can see, Alex’s canine companion appears to be just fine. She was with him when he was filming scenes yesterday in Chinatown. (See also the videos: 1-2, 3.)
Magazine features are planned relatively well in advance, and the TV Week interview may have taken place quite a while ago. Long enough, in any case, for his “little baby, baby Dusty” to have healed from her broken leg!
Many thanks to Stephen C. for the great pic – a large version and some more from the same shooting location have been added to the gallery! And if you missed it before, Annie Wersching also posted a picture of herself with Alex and Dusty.

Indeed-I thought he’d adopted a border collie. When did he get Dusty?
Thank you MIzz. I love the photo of Alex and Dusty!
That is one lucky puppy! She has such a loving dad.
I thought he had a border collie> That looks like a pit bull. Hope she is all well.
great to see that his gal is doing fine.
but what happend to the border collie he got? or did i miss something?
I have a question. Does the H50 production and all the staff who work there like the director or producer and also teh actors, does not mind ordinary people to be around the set and start to take pictures, snapshots or tape a scene? I mean for example, like in this case when someone took a video and a photo of Alex filiming a scene, and this person who took it is not part of the H50 production company. I ask because some other TV series are very private and dont like ordinary and regular people nosing around the set when filming scenes so they tape the thing in close doors or sets and only the the actors and teh production staff are allowed on the set when filming. I was curious to ask that because it seems the H50 staff does not mind a fan or a regular person to take pics of scenes when they are taping an episode.
As long as they’re shooting in public areas, anyone has the right to take photos or shoot videos. As to whether the production or the execs mind, I obviously can’t speak for them. It’s impossible to control what spoilers are released if the public are sharing pictures and videos and I’m sure that must be frustrating at times, but on the positive side, the fans remain engaged with the show and very interested in what goes on behind the scenes. We’re lucky in that so much of Five-0 is shot outdoors; with Alex’s previous shows, there was hardly any information other than what CBS was willing to share with us.
Good to know that his pup is OK!
Very cute;
Thx Mizz!

Cuteness overload, again, sigh…
Great to see them both Mizz! And Dusty does look just fine.
