Hawaii Five-0 Updates
- Who doesn’t love the adorable mutt that managed to downgrade McGarrett to the back seat of Danny’s Camaro? Officer 808 (or Bob as some of us call him) at Five-0 Undercover is giving away two Five-0 crew T-shirts as prizes in his Name Danny’s New Best Friend contest. And the fun thing is that the contest is not restricted to US residents only. Check out Five-0 Undercover for details!
- Five-0 EPs Bob Orci and Peter Lenkov, and cast members Daniel Dae Kim, Mark Dacascos and Brian Yang were all present at CAPE’s 20th anniversary gala in LA on Saturday night. Photos of their arrival at the event have been posted here and on Facebook. (George Takei was there too – hopefully there was an opportunity to connect about a possible guest appearance…
) - Episode 2.10 is going to be an intense one – Peter teases us with a pic of McGarrett in Wo Fat’s nasty clutches and calls the scenes between the two “insane.”
- For those of you wondering what paperback novel is lying next to Danny’s TV while he’s watching Enemy Mine and Steve fails epically to impress him with his ninja skills when sneaking into his apartment in 2.08, it’s “Up Country” by Nelson DeMille.
- On November 28, a repeat of 1.16 “Powa Maka Moana” is currently scheduled to air instead of a new episode.
- The title of episode 2.13 appears to be “Ka H’oponopono”.
- Season 2 will have at least 23 episodes (if not the possible 24 mentioned by Peter earlier); here’s a tweet from episode 2.03 director Jeffrey Hunt:

Hawaii Five-0 Articles
- The multi-talented Masi Oka gave a phone interview to journalists in Asia recently, where Season 2 of Five-0 premiered this weekend. Here’s an excerpt from the Philippine Daily Inquirer (scans of the article are also in the gallery):
The first season of “Hawaii Five-0” was very good. But what about the second season? Will things get even more exciting?
Yeah, totally. I think the opener is actually great, because it answers a lot of questions very quickly and of course, raises new ones. What’s great about the show is that in the middle of the season, people can just hop right in and catch it immediately in one episode. But there’s always this one unsolved mystery, and there’s always going to be a new mystery coming up. Even in the first episode, there’s a twist that makes everyone go, “Oh my God!” at the end of the episode.
How was it like working with Alex (O’Loughlin), Grace (Park), and the rest?
I think every actor brings different dynamics. Alex is great; he knows his lines really well. I haven’t really gotten a chance to work too much with Grace… But I’ve actually gotten to work with Daniel (Dae Kim) a lot. So, it’s been good, you know. That’s what’s kind of fun—working with these actors, having different interactions. It’s the same thing with “Heroes.” I miss my old cast mates, but I love my new ones, as well.
