Alex O’Loughlin Confirms “Three Rivers” Pilot Role!

myspaceWe can all breathe a huge sigh of relief! Alex O’Loughlin has just confirmed his participation in the Three Rivers pilot on his MySpace blog:

Hello from Pittsburgh

Thursday, March 26, 2009

Hi everybody.
So I know you have all been anxious to know exactly what I’m up to, and I’m sorry it’s taken me a minute to get back to you but things are now clear.

As some of you know I did a little guest role on Criminal Minds which was a lot of fun. I got to work with some great friends and terrific people and I had a really good experience. The episode is called The Big Wheel. I hope you enjoy it.

I am currently in Pittsburgh filming a new pilot for CBS called Three Rivers. It is about as different from Moonlight as anything could possibly be (laughing right now) but that being said I sure hope all you “die hard” vampire fans come with me on this journey!

Three Rivers is a wonderful story about donors, recipients and surgeons in the world of transplant surgery and of how all these people’s lives are affected on a daily basis by the miracles and devastations involved in surgery today.

As I’m sure you can appreciate I have been totally consumed with my research and preparation for this role, and along the way I have discovered a secret passion within myself for cardio thoracic surgery! Who knew?!! ;) It is very interesting, very important and I believe this story we are about to embark on will be something you will very much enjoy being a part of.

I hope you are all healthy and well and until we speak again…wish me luck!!

All my love,
Alex O’Loughlin

I love the way Alex expresses himself. I believe that he is a very intelligent and genuine actor and young gentleman. I hope that CBS will approve Three Rivers on May 20th for the 2009 fall season of new shows. Thanks for posting and sharing Alex’s blog.

I am so happy for Alex – and for us! I just know that this is going to be picked up for fall. When Alex posted this blog I sent him a comment and told him that I love Moonlight because of him, and that I will be there for anything that he does. Alex is so filled with passion for life and for everything that he is involved with. The fact that he is doing so much research for the part is so – ALEX! He deserves only the best and he deserves the loyalty of his fans. He has given me so much joy, and I will try to do anything I can to support this wonderful and brilliant man.

I think that we all had certain fear of that finally Alex was not appearing in the TR pilot, in the last news that were coming on the cast Alex’s name was not appearing, that joined the incorporation of Julia Ormond like star/actress. Other star/actors incorporations it in his competitors (Jacqeline Bisset and Donald Sutherland in The Eastmans), and the guarantee that always seems to contribute taking Jerry Bruckheimer as an executive producer in case of Miami Trauma, they seemed to indicate that CBS would be more ready to go forward without Alex.

Anyhow the frame of mind that was showing in MySapce was that of a happy and optimistic person and that was giving us certain mitigation, but finally our fears disappeared yesterday when Alex’s message was perfectly clear he was in Pittsburgh filming the pilot and also he was proving to be filled with enthusiasm with all, his work in CM and with the project of Three Rivers.

I believe that Alex feels that this is going to be his future professional and I anticipate that we are going to see Dr. Yablonski in action in enough time.

It is necessary to have confidence and positive energy, the union does the force. Go Alex you have to obtain it!!
