Hello and Welcome!
I’m not sure which had a greater impact on me: the phenomenally engaging television series Moonlight to which I was introduced in November 2008 (yes, I’m a late bloomer) or its charismatic lead, the talented Australian actor Alex O’Loughlin. Either way, I was hooked faster than Gregory House on Vicodin.
In the brief period since, nagging suspicions have been confirmed. Alex O’Loughlin is not only a fine actor, but he is modest and a genuinely nice guy as well. He’s one of the few talents who manages to look totally different in each role. His chameleonic skills have given us characters as diverse as the zany Michael Carter in FEED, the vulnerable serial killer Vincent Rowlings in Criminal Minds and the charismatic and melancholy vampire Mick St. John in the much loved television show Moonlight.
And OK, to prove that I’m warm-blooded and as shallow as the next gal: it has not escaped my notice that Mr. O’Loughlin is a heart-stopper, with unconventional good looks, a voice that does amazing things to my nervous system and a smile that you just can’t resist. Feel free to check out the image gallery if you’re not totally convinced ;-). And the fact that he’s charming, smart, articulate, witty and can’t see what all the fuss is about makes him all the more likable. Take away the outer wrapping and you’re still left with a great guy.
Alex O’Loughlin is not here to stay, because he is going places! And I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us.
